Characterisation of anti-GFP recombinant antibodies

GFP (Green Fluorescent Protein) is a fluorescent reporter protein derived from the jellyfish Aequorea victoria. The RHEM platform has identified three recombinant antibodies that effectively detect GFP. One of them also recognises YFP (Yellow Fluorescent Protein).

The RHEM platform tested three recombinant anti-GFP antibodies on tissues (skin, liver) from transgenic mice expressing GFP or YFP.
- All three antibodies (Ab183734, ABCD AK652 and CST 2956) were validated for GFP detection.
- One of them (CST 2956) also recognises YFP
- ABCD AK442 did not give any signal under the tested conditions.
Tests are currently being carried out on tissues expressing mCitrine.
