Description de la formation

The Training School will:

- Provide training in experimental design techniques;

- Give an introduction to statistical methods to ensure data is analysed correctly;

- Highlight legal and ethical considerations when using animals;

- Are an opportunity to evaluate procedures before putting them into practice;

- Provide a chance to meet with other researchers to discuss ideas and exchange expertise;

- Stimulate engagement with the 3Rs.

The Training Schools are highly interactive and include lectures, group discussions, and individual exercises. The programme is structured to lead participants from simple experimental design and statistical ideas, through more complex methods and analysis to effective presentation of findings. Participants are also able to discuss their own research problems/experiences with the expert tutors.
